Music for little people…

My name is Declan Duffy, I am a musician of 20 years experience and have spent the last five years delivering music sessions to pre-school children locally. I have also run the successful Funkee Munkees music groups in Axminster and Bridport. My school sessions, priced at £25, generally last 30-45 minutes, incorporating singing, movement, letter and number work, puppets and instruments, as well as stories, dramatics and basic French language if desired.

If you do not require music but would still like to bring some French into the classroom, I can also offer an age-appropriate introduction to French language and culture as I possess a BA (Hons) degree in French and have previously lived in France.

If you think any of my services can be of benefit to your school, please get in contact either by e-mail or on 07947 528568. I am happy to pay you a visit and offer you a free first session to demonstrate what I offer.

“The sessions are very well planned and presented to the children in such an enthusiastic way. I would highly recommend Declan; he’s very approachable, asks for input and always takes on board feedback.” –  Musbury Moles pre-school

” Declan has proven very popular, with the children looking forward to his visits and showing great interest. The activities support speech and language development, with many children learning rhythms and able to recall the songs at will.”  – Whitchurch pre-school

“As the children have got to know him and his style of engaging with them, they look forward to his sessions each week.”  –  Dragonflies pre-school, Axminster

“It has become a highlight of each week and all of the children have really enjoyed it. The sessions have boosted the confidence of the quieter children, and those children who can’t sit still for a second have remained involved  for half an hour! Our staff now feel more confident to take music sessions independently of Declan, having built up a repertoire of songs and techniques for teaching rhythm and exploring sound. Thank you, Declan!”  –  Wise Owls pre-school, Axminster
